NABJ Chicago, in partnership with the Chicago Blackhawks and the Chicago Defender, offered a first-of-its-kind PAID summer fellowship for aspiring sports Journalists. 

The sports fellows conducted interviews, wrote stories and created social media content highlighting Chicago’s professional sports teams!

If you are a recent grad, how many years have you been out of college (less than a year, one year, two years, or three years)?

Submit an essay, no longer than 400 words that discusses your interest in sports, your experience with sports journalism and why you think you should be selected for this fellowship.

The final selection was made on June 13.
