National Association of Black Journalists-Chicago Chapter

The National Association of Black Journalists-Chicago Chapter is a nonprofit organization of more than 300 members. Our chief purpose is providing monetary scholarships and mentoring support to enable minority high school and college students to realize their potential as they pursue journalism careers.  Founded in the early 1970s, NABJ Chicago is comprised of professionals employed in print, television and radio media, public relations and journalism academia. Our membership includes top names in the business. Over the past 38 years, NABJ Chicago has met its challenge of encouraging and assisting young people entering this now globally competitive profession through fundraising activities that partner with business and media corporations, individuals and nonprofits of like mind.
