Hey, College Students! Apply Today for NABJ-Chicago Chapter Scholarships

NABJ-Chicago Chapter (NABJCC) awards scholarships annually to deserving students interested in pursuing careers in journalism.

Scholars are selected based on academic excellence, passion for journalism and vision of their potential impact.

Requirements:

• College or university transcript w/3.0 GPA
• Professional resume
• Three original samples of work
• Two letters of reference from professors and/or employers
• 1,000-word essay

Essays should cover one or more of the following themes: Why you are interested in a journalism degree, your professional goals and view on the future of journalism, the role and function of journalists in a democratic society, and the impact of social media on journalism today.

All applications and required documents should be emailed to scholarship@nabjchicago.org by  April 30, 2020.
