Private Screening and Panel Discussion of the Jon Burge Torture Victims Documentary “AREA2”

City leaders tacitly permitted Chicago Police Commander Jon Burge and his “Midnight Crew” of detectives to torture dozens of Black detainees in his notorious “Area 2” police station between 1972 and 1991. AREA 2 is doc series investigating the scandal and chronicling the epic fight for justice.
You are invited to a private work-in-progress screening (40 mins) and panel discussion featuring Emmy-winning investigative reporter Dorothy Tucker and Pulitzer Prize winning journalist David Jackson hosted by NABJ Chicago.
