IMPORTANT: If you received the email “[REMINDER] Your Invitation to Vote …”, then YOU are eligible and authorized to vote in the current NABJ-CC election! The email contains your unique NABJ-CC Voter ID and Voter Key.

Per NABJ-CC Bylaws, write-in candidates must be able to provide evidence of their eligibility for office during the Annual Meeting. This year, because we are not meeting in-person, write-in candidates are asked to immediately submit the following items:

• Receipt for current Full Membership in NABJ-CC (must be in effect 5/20/2021)
• Receipt for current Full Membership in NABJ (must be in effect 5/20/2021)
• Bio/Resume
• Contact information

The above requested documents should be emailed to elections@nabjchicago.org

All write-in candidates are asked to submit the above items immediately in order to preserve eligibility. The candidate with the highest tally for a position will be the successful candidate among the verified write-ins. A vetted, clear winner can be announced immediately during the Annual Meeting. In the event of a tie, during the Annual Meeting, the tying candidates’ names will be drawn from a hat to transparently establish the order of their succession. Write-in candidates will be vetted in the days to follow and the first eligible and willing candidate in the order of succession will be accepted to the Board at the first General Meeting following the election, at which time an announcement will be made and the oath will be administered.
