NABJ Announces Three Key Appointments to National Office Staff
WASHINGTON, D.C. (Jan. 28, 2019) – The National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) announced today three new additions to its national office staff.
Angela Robinson will serve as NABJ‘s director of operations, Kanya Stewart joins the staff as director of communications and Vanessa Johnson-Evans is serving as the program manager.
According to NABJ Executive Director Drew Berry, each appointment serves as a critical component to the advancement of NABJ‘s agenda and strategic priorities.
“The exceptional skills displayed by these individuals are evident as we take steps toward enhancing the overall operations of the organization by implementing improvements in planning, technology and stakeholder engagement,” said Berry. “We are very fortunate to be able to leverage the talents of these outstanding professionals as we head into what promises to be the largest convention in NABJ‘s history in Miami.”
Robinson is a longtime NABJ member, a former news anchor in Washington, D.C., and Atlanta, and a media executive. She has worked with the organization previously as special events producer, program manager and logistics manager.
Stewart has served Florida A&M University since 2012 in various communications capacities.
