In
News
The National Association of Black Journalists board of directors met on Aug. 13, 2017, for their last meeting of the 2015-2017 term. At the meeting, NABJ issued this statement on Al Jazeera and press freedom:
“The National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) supports the journalists of the Al Jazeera Media Network and the vital need for them to continue to freely share news and information with the public. Any forced closure or censorship of the Al Jazeera news operation is a blow against free speech and the rights of millions of people in the region and throughout the world.”
