Renita D. Young lands 2016-17 Reuters/NABJ Fellowship

NABJ Chicago congratulates member Renita D. Young, who was chosen as a 2016/2017 Reuters/NABJ Fellow. Most recently, Renita was a web producer for WBBM’s combined television and radio website, CBSChicago.com. Prior to that position, she served as a staff reporter for NOLA.com, The Times-Picayune’s Baton Rouge hub covering the oil and gas industry, entrepreneurship and breaking news.

Renita formerly worked with Thomson Reuters as a stringer in the Chicago and Northwest Indiana area, and at the State Capitol. Renita also has reported for NBCUniversal’s theGrio.com, USA Today and AOL’s Patch.com, among other news outlets.

A native Chicagoan, Renita is a graduate of both DePaul University and the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. With Reuters, she will be working in general news before moving to Reuters’ commodities desk in January 2017.
