AAJA Free Media Access Workshop

This free Media Access workshop aims to teach local community leaders, nonprofits and business owners how to “get their news in the news”, promote their work and highlight their mission to the public. By the end of the training, participants will better understand how news stories get placed, how the media works to share news with the public and how they can work together with their communities to become stronger partners and resources for local journalists.

Since our inaugural workshop in 2014, AAJA Media Access alumni have gone on to appear on local and national television, including C-SPAN, MSNBC and NBC’s Today Show. They have published editorials and been featured in major news publications across the country.
