Social Justice Reporter
The Chicago Reader, the city’s illustrious free alternative newspaper, is hiring a Social Justice Reporter to continue our award-winning news and investigative coverage. The ideal candidate will have news reporting experience, a nuanced understanding of the social justice issues our city confronts, and a commitment to social impact journalism.
The Social Justice Reporter will largely be remote, with some in-person meetings and trainings, and opportunities to occasionally work alongside colleagues. This role will report to the News Editor and work closely with staff of the newly launched Racial Justice Reporting Hub & Writers Room.
