NABJ Chicago’s wellness partnership with EAP (Elite Athletes Performance) offers programming focused on networking, community building, and physical health for journalists and media professionals of all ages and fitness levels.
Class Description:
This movement-based training experience is intentionally designed to help media professionals build strength, mobility, and long-term durability.
Class Options: 5:30pm • 6:45pm • 8pm

Each 50 – 55 minute session will include:
• Functional strength training
• Mobility and stability work
• Core (pillar) strength development
• Guided breathing techniques for stress regulation and recovery
EAP philosophy centers on training with intent – emphasizing movement education, proper mechanics, and sustainable fitness practices. Sessions are adaptable for all fitness levels to ensure participants feel supported while being appropriately challenged.
Participant Guidelines
Participants are asked to bring:
• Athletic clothing
• Inside-only training shoes (no outside shoes permitted on the training floor)
• A personal water bottle
• A small towel (optional)
All equipment will be provided by EAP.
To ensure a seamless experience, a 15-minute transition buffer will be scheduled between sessions so one group can exit comfortably before the next group begins.
