Summer Internship 2025
NABJ Chicago, in partnership with the Chicago Blackhawks and the Chicago Defender, is offering a first-of-its-kind PAID summer fellowship for aspiring sports Journalists.
The sports fellow will have an opportunity to conduct interviews, write stories and create social media content that highlights Chicago’s professional sports teams!

If you are a recent grad, how many years have you been out of college (less than a year, one year, two years, or three years)?
Submit an essay, no longer than 400 words that discusses your interest in sports, your experience with sports journalism and why you think you should be selected for this fellowship.
The final selection will be made on June 13.
